The Sun of Righteousness
Will rise with healing in His wings. Malachi 4:2
Oh,Lord
Arise and shine and let your light be seen!
Let it shine forth
Over and into and through
The confusion and the conflict
The astonishing ability of humanity
To cast a shadow over everything that is good.
We have rejoiced
We had expressed wonder
We have celebrated the skills of the scientist
And talked of these vaccines creating a light at the end of the tunnel
But in our brokenness
We have done it yet again
And find ourselves fighting and arguing
Speaking harsh words and demanding our rights
Stealing the joy and the pleasure of our amazing successes
Forgive us Lord
And let your light
The light of the Son of Righteousness
Shine over and into and through us
Bringing healing and reconciliation and unity.
In and through the Lord Jesus Christ.
