Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy that was set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2
Lord Jesus Christ
Who completed the task set before you
And endured the horror of the cross
Accepting the cup of the Father
And fulfilling all that was required of you
Help me Lord to persevere and to endure.
When dark clouds and challenges crowd in
When my spirit is low and my joy is lacking
Draw close and fill me afresh with your Spirit.
Keep my eyes focussed on Jesus
The Author and Perfecter of our faith.
Help me, Lord, to stay on track,
To complete the task
To finish the course
To serve your purposes
In these days and in this place
For your glory I pray
