I thank you for the precious gift of your Written Word
I praise you for the treasure chest of the Bible
That brings light and love and meaning and guidance to life.
Day by day may your people draw nourishment
From its limitless reserves
That we may once more be known as the
‘People of the Book’
And having heard your word
Let us proclaim it boldly
That many might hear and believe.
