Almighty and Holy God
Who holds creation in the palm of your hand
We come before you in worship and awe.
Crying out for this world for which our Saviour died.
Lord, our prayers are so often
That you would come down and change things
Calming the storms
Removing the barriers
Addressing the issues
Dealing with the troubles.
Heavenly Father,
You have the power and the authority
To achieve all of these
Just a word from you
For you are God.
I acknowledge Father
That the real resistance is all too often within myself
Your willingness to change me
Your desire to fill me
Your longing to make me more like Jesus
So often meet with the brick wall
Of my stubborn clinging to the old self.
Father, forgive me
And help me to change
So that I can be receptive to your transforming power in my life.
